Maryland Fried Chicken

 

1 Whole fryer cut in 8th

1 quart butter milk               

1 tbls hot sauce   

3 cup flour

1 tbls salt              

1 tbls pepper

1 tbls onion powder            

1 tsp thyme

1 tbls old bay

2 cup peanut oil

 

Marinate chicken in buttermilk and hot sauce overnight.

Rinse chicken and pat dry

Heat oil to 360 F 

dredge chicken in flour mixture and shake off  excess

drop into hot oil and fry 8 minutes per side

drain and serve or chill
